I’m trying to find my way in this world and do something which makes this planet a better place to live in - sometimes it’s difficult, other times it’s easy. I’m Zoltán Belicza, born in 1985 as a Virgo. First, I wanted to be a fighter pilot, later a mechanical engineer, but my life took a new turn. I worked in night shifts as a mechanical tool engineer and a programmer of CNC milling machines. I developed and maintained IT networks and computer hardware. For almost a decade now I’ve been working as a software developer for European smaller and bigger companies. At present I’ve been negotiating as entrepreneur throughout Europe, travelling to the sea and beyond, collecting special Legos, doing powerlifting and waiting for the next Star Trek movie. I’ve already worked with several different companies, agencies, entrepreneurs and multinational companies either in Hungary or in other European countries, working on site or at home. Currently I live in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, but this makes no difference when it comes to collaboration - a good laptop and fast Internet connection makes everything possible today. Besides this, should the opportunity arise, I’m pleased to meet and drink a cup of coffee with my prospective clients while having a discussion about working together.
The upcoming professional introduction is not really usual, but I don’t want to share information you can find by doing a five-minute search in one of my online profiles so in short I’m working on or trying to solve the following issues these days:

Yes, it’s boring, but sometimes you have to say things like this. – If you have an idea, I’ll help you to make it real. I am never pushy because creating a website is teamwork, decisions are mutual and are based on the clients’ values. With professional schedule and precise work, I contribute to develop a new application or rethink an old one. To achieve the best result, planning and developing should meet at the same person so if I can do the design part of the project, the development part will be easier than it would be if I had to create the site using other design plans. In the time of the responsive web, pixel perfect as a term is really promising, and I’m not an Old Spice ad. The result, however, will be the same you’ve seen in the plans, I guarantee.

User interfaces (UI) of business websites and applications are mainly functional so it’s difficult to make them easy to use, but as people use and look at them every day, they should love the working environment, let it be a website or an application. I never hear, for example that the website of MÁV (Hungarian State Railways) has a perfect UI and there is nothing wrong with it. However, I try my best to prevent my clients think about UX as a "necessary evil", rather as a well-thought, lovely and automatic train (sorry for the association). With my help, we can create new, logical, ergonomic and structured interfaces, make changes to existing ones or rethink an idea during the planning process. Be honest: who wouldn’t like to work with user-friendly interfaces for hours?

For clients, the brand represents the company and its products. It communicates and what it says is very important. The message must be expressive, evident and positive, but I rather believe a brand should speak for itself. Why do you write about the advantages of a product in 12 paragraphs when you can write about them in only three? With Multilanguage content management, I help my clients with online marketing so that they can more easily reach out to other clients with their attractive sites.

There is a saying that "Cheap meat yields dilute soup". This proverb is, whether you like it or not, true. I’ve been asked several times to quickly fix something and I have good reasons to refuse this kind of responsibility. Quality work requires time even if I’ve gained ten years of international experience so far and prices change according to the difficulty of the projects. I’m not your neighbor, but I don’t ask for the fee of a professional development agency either.

As entrepreneur, I usually have hourly rates, but in case of some circumstances and requirements, I prefer fix rates. Considering these factors, I can provide recommendations only after a thorough survey of requirements; I don’t have a sample which is valid for every single project.
I usually ask for 50% of advance payment which clients pay after signing the contract. This, on one hand, leads to active cooperation with the client and, on the other hand, assures me that the project is severe. The remaining 50% of the fee is paid in the finish. The client gets the parts of the project included in the contract after I got the full payment. If I have a number of successful cooperation with a client in a certain period of time, I provide a so-called "regular customer discount" to the client.
Not because of my next dinner. :) As I’ve already mentioned in the previous paragraph, advance payment leads to active cooperation with the client and assures me that the project is severe. We’ve all experienced that the client or the contractor disappeared in the middle of the work with no contacts, and we were left without payment or results. I don’t work on projects without advance payment.
I do various kinds of projects – a meeting in advance (and not a call for proposals) can give you more details about them. My aim is two-fold: I’d like my clients to see their dreams come true as soon as possible and also in the best quality they can imagine. In short: I am dedicated to plan, develop and give advice about interfaces and functions of web services, and besides these, I also provide Multilanguage content management, moreover, after finishing a project, I can give technical and management support as well.
Anything that is not listed above and we cannot agree on. For example, I don’t do continuous content management and editorial support, tasks of a system administrator, hosting services, Multilanguage translations and revisions of written literature, SEO, and printed materials for corporate identity. However, I have good professional relations if you need someone for projects I don’t deal with.
First, we talk about requests – I ask broad, then more specific questions about the project and expected changes. After this, I do some calculations and send you a cost estimate in 48 hours. I can share the cost estimate with you at a meeting as well. If you accept my offer, we sign the contract and collaboration starts.
